Wildcard Distribution have launched the brand new teaser trailer for Michael Inside, the latest feature film from writer-director Frank Berry (I Used to Live Here).

Michael Inside which stars Dafhyd Flynn, Lalor Roddy and Moe Dunford tells the story of Michael McCrea, an impressionable 18-year-old living with his grandfather Francis in a Dublin housing estate, who gets caught holding a bag of drugs for his friend’s older brother and is sentenced to three months in prison.

Director Frank Berry said: “Researched over eighteen months with former prisoners the film is an expression of many real-life experiences, and we very much look forward to Irish audiences seeing it.”

Michael Inside sees Berry once again working with Dafhyd Flynn, who gives a moving performance as Michael, after previously worked together on the critically acclaimed I Used To Live Here.  The release date for the film is currently being finalised.

The film will have its world premiere at the Galway Film Fleadh this month and will also be the topic of a panel session at the Fleadh Forum which will delve into the area of independent filmmaking looking at the creative approach taken by the filmmakers and discussing how to maximise limited resources to the best effect.
