Clones Film Festival will host a freeoutdoor  screening of the beautiful, balmy, summer classic Cinema Paradiso on Saturday, 08 June at 10.30pm at Clones Library.

Lavished with awards wherever shown, including the Oscar for best foreign language film in 1990, and winning the hearts of many, Cinema Paradiso is a film lover’s movie, telling the story of film director, Salvatore, who remembers his childhood at the Cinema Paradiso where Alfredo, the projectionist, first brought about his love of films. He returns home to his Sicilian village for the first time after almost 30 years and is reminded of his first love, Elena, who disappeared from his life before he left for Rome. The film is consistently voted among the 100 best movies of all time on the Internet Movie Database.
