Former Irish boxing legend and star of Guy Rictchie’s Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels joins a new feature in role of Franky, a Dublin loan shark, filming is set to shoot in Galway this September.
The Street tells the story of Simon Carr who has just spent 5 years in an Irish prison for deadly assault and killing his victim, he is released to start his life all over again. A well known former drug & gang leader who has a dark past that one day will catch up on him. After deciding to go back to his home town of Galway to begin work with his cousin but finds that his younger brother Declan is running jobs from robberies to pushing cocaine for the gang he use to lead. As Simon intervenes to take him away from the game an old foe of his has some other ideas. The Street will be a hard hitting feature that will focus on what goes on in the streets of Ireland.
Casting is now under the way with a 3-week shoot set for this September and a 2014 release.
