The deadline is fast approaching for entries to the 2012 ICCL Human Rights Film Awards.

Over the past three years, the competition has produced shortlisted films of outstanding quality which cast light on a range of human rights issues in new and creative ways.

The work of five finalists will be screened as part of a Gala Awards evening in Dublin in summer 2012. A Grand Prize winner will be selected by our star Jury, which includes acclaimed filmmaker Kirsten Sheridan and actor Stephen Rea.

The deadline for submission of your original short film is Monday 16 April 2012, and full details of how to apply are available on this website (see right hand sidebar to download application form).

[Please note: The ICCL Human Rights Film Awards also has a strand aimed at young filmmakers, entitled the Human Rights in Under a Minute Challenge. The deadline for this branch of the competition is 9 May 2012.]
