Big City Park, a co-production between Belfast based Sixteen South and CBeebies Scotland, picked up a BAFTA in Scotland at the weekend for Best Children’s Programme.
Filmed completely on location in Belfast’s Ormeau Park, Big City Park received funding from Northern Ireland Screen supported by Invest NI and part funded by the European Regional Development Fund.
The show, which premiered on CBeebies in August 2010 encourages children to get outside and rediscover the awe and wonder of nature. Big City Park combines live action, puppets and original songs to entertain and educate young viewers.
