Saoirse Ronan won the British/Irish Actress of the Year award for her performances in Brooklyn and Lost River at the London Critics’ Circle Awards. Irish director Benjamin Cleary was the winner of the British/Irish Short Film of the Year award for his short film Stutterer.
Across the Atlantic, Room stars Brie Larson and Jacob Tremblay won the Best Actress and Best Young Actor/Actress awards respectively for their performances in Lenny Abrahamson’s Room at the Critics’ Choice Movie Awards, held in Los Angeles.
