Irish animation at Cartoon Movie

Irish animation features at this year’s  Cartoon Movie, a co-production forum for European animated feature films. Niko 2 – Little Brother, Big Trouble (Tidal films Ltd / Magma Productions),  Jansson on the Train (A Man & Ink Ltd) and Paperboy (Giant Creative Animation) are all taking part in Cartoon Movie 2013.

From 6 to 8 March, Lyon will become the European capital of animation film: more than 700 animated feature film producers, investors, distributors, sales agents and video game companies from all of Europe and beyond will attend the 15th Cartoon Movie to create partnerships and raise financing, thus allowing many productions to be completed. The annual pitching event will showcase in sneak preview 56 animated projects and films at various stages of development.

Building on the success of its first edition in 2012, the Cartoon Games will take place for a whole day this year, on Wednesday 6th March, just before Cartoon Movie. Organised in collaboration with the Imaginove cluster, these meetings aim to foster partnerships upstream between animation producers and video game companies.
