Idris Elba is an actor, producer, director & musician from London, with parents of Sierra Leonean & Ghanaian heritage. He gained recognition for his role as Stringer Bell in The Wire (also starring Aidan Gillen) & DCI Luther in Luther, earning a Golden Globe Award for the latter. His film credits include Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom, Beasts of No Nation, Thor, Pacific Rim, Molly’s Game, and The Suicide Squad. Elba has also directed & produced projects through his company, Green Door Pictures.
