We are delighted to partner with the Galway Film Fleadh to bring you a series of podcasts spotlighting filmmakers whose work is screening at this year’s festival.
You might know her best from her roles in Criminal Minds or Archer, but Aisha Tyler’s creativity knows no limits. In this podcast, Gemma Creagh chats with Aisha about her tense debut feature I Hope We Can Still Be Friends, which was shot in Ireland and will have its premiere at this years’ festival.
The Galway Film Fleadh runs 8-13 July 2025.
A high-powered executive wakes up alone, trapped inside a wooden cell. He has food, water, a bed – and absolutely no idea how he got there. As days pass, panic turns to anger, then grief, and finally despair. When he discovers a woman trapped in the box next to his, they realise cooperation is their only hope of escape. Their shared suffering brings them closer, and as they start to trust each other, they reveal their darkest, most unspeakable secrets. As the manipulative game of their jailer is slowly revealed, neither can be sure whether the other is friend, foe… or something else entirely.
