In 2002, DC & Warner Bros were set to unleash a Batman Vs Superman film into the world? It was to be directed by Wolfgang Petersen (The Perfect Storm, Troy) and Colin Farrell was a front-runner to play the brooding billionaire Bruce Wayne.
With the release of the Zack Synder-helmed version this month, a lot of attention has been given to the original script. Did Hollywood get Batman Vs Superman right the first time?
Find out when Storybreakers returns with a live reading of the first, unproduced take on The Dark Knight vs The Man Of Steel.
Written in 2002 by Andrew Kevin Walker (the writer of Se7en), this was going to be the launching pad for two of the biggest franchises in the world. However, an emerging filmmaker named Christopher Nolan broke onto the scene with his own ideas of how to tackle The Caped Crusader, sidelining this heavyweight showdown permanently… Until now.
In Dublin on Tuesday, April 12th, Storybreakers are bringing the infamous long lost script to the stage as they perform a one-night only live reading in The Grand Social, featuring some of Dublin’s best and brightest actors.
The event is absolutely free. However, donations will be collected on the night and the proceeds will go to charity.
