The Randomers is the fourth feature from Irish director Graham Jones who has made a number of well-received indie movies in the past.

Unlike his earlier films, which  went on general release in cinemas or DVD, The Randomers was made freely available online in 154 countries to mark Valentine’s Day since which time nearly 30,000 people have watched it and critical response has been strong.

The film tells the story of a girl on the West coast of Ireland played by Sarah Jane Murphy who places an advertisement seeking a guy for a relationship ‘without speaking’ and finds exactly what she’s looking for in Joseph Lydon. There’s something about him she doesn’t know, but he’s not going to be chatty about it.

The movie was shot in Counties Galway and Mayo last Spring using local actors, musicians and scenery.
