The nominations for the Royal Television Society Craft & Design Awards have been announced and this year includes a number of Irish names among the nominees.
Irish colourist Aidan Farrell secured two nominations for Effects (Picture Enhancement) for the Channel 4 series Utopia series and for his work on BBC’s The White Queen
Belfast serial killer drama ‘The Fall’ picked up two nominations with Pamela Smyth picking up a nomination for Make-Up Design and David Holmes for Original Score.
Mark Geraghty received a nomination for Production Design – Drama for his work on ‘Ripper Street’. While Sean Mackenzie is nominated for Tape & Film Editing (Documentary & Factual) for How To Get To Heaven With the Hutterites, the BBC documentary about an isolated Christian community
The RTS Craft & Design Awards cover the huge variety of skills and processes involved in programme production, from editing to lighting, and costume design to digital effects. The Awards ceremony is held on Monday 18th November at The Savoy, London.
