The 14th Irish Latin American Film Festival 2013 will take place once again in Belfast and Dublin, featuring shorts and documentaries.

A new feature this year is Director Focus. Water Rising is a co-production between Muireann de Barra and Aisling Crudden. It will be preceded by Muralistas, directed and produced by Muireann, who is a fluent Irish speaker. It was her debut film and was awarded a Jesuit young filmmaker award in 2000. This was the short film that instigated The 1st Irish Latin American Film Festival all those years ago. It generated great excitement and a full house in 2000 at its screening in the IFI []

Country focus in 2013 will be Nicaragua.
