Irish short film Shellshock picked up the Audience Choice Award following its screening at the Shire International Short Film Festival in Australia on March 27th.
The film was made by Dublin Institute of Technology’s School of Media, with key personnel including writer/director John Corcoran, producer Jean Igoe, director of photography Dean Kavanagh, art director Luke Benson, assistant director Síle Jane Culley and sound designer Burschi Wojnar. Main cast includes Donal Gallery (Game of Thrones), Jane McGrath (The Clinic) and Pascal Scott (Grabbers).
The film follows a young Irishman struggling to return to normality in the aftermath of his experiences during World War One. More information on the film can be found at its official blog:
