Stirling Film & Television Productions are currently casting for ‘Scúp’ – a new 8-part Irish Language Drama Series set in Belfast and to be broadcast on BBC Northern Ireland & TG4.

The Characters they are looking to cast are:

CULLEN – (LATE 30s)

Originally from Belfast but has worked in London for years. Married with 2 children but separated.
Male, handsome, honest and understanding of the people around him.

DIARMUD – (LATE 40s/EARLY 50s)

Male, bit of a “Jack the Lad”. Married twice and separated from his 2nd wife.
He is charming and likeable but sometimes a liability.

CORMAC – (LATE 40s/EARLY 50s)

Male, stuck in his ways and slightly bitter about life and feels unappreciated at times.
Avid supporter of the Irish language, GAA and traditional music.
His life is West Belfast.

ALIX – (MID 20s)

Female, local girl done good, passionate about her job and her community.
Confident and ambitious and has a great way with people. She can be rash and explosive at times.

JANINE (LATE 30s)

Female, will go the extra mile for her work, sometimes with very little moral regard.
She is well known in the area and can still turn heads.

MICHAEL – (19/20)

Male, middle-class boy from Cork on work experience before University.
Over the top manners and quite shy.

SEAN – (18/20)

Male, street smart skateboarder and rough and ready. A bit of a hard man and cheeky.
He would do anything for a spare tenner.
