Phil Evans’ Format Perspective won the award for Best Editing and was also nominated for Best Documentary at the recent International Skateboard Film Festival in Los Angeles.

The documentary is about six photographers from around Europe all of whom shoot the same subject matter of skateboarding but all from a completely different approach. The documentary explores how they work, the direction they come from, what inspires them to shoot as well as showcasing the photography that they shot especially for this project.

Format Perspective was filmed completely in Super 8 and features Dublin-based photographer Rich Gilligan, as well as Stu Robinson (Belfast), Nils Svensson (Malmo), Sergej Vutuc (Balkans) Alex Irvine (London) and Bertrand Trichet (Japan).
