The short film Spare Change? will have its World Premiere after being officially selected in competition for the 24th Foyle Film Festival this year. The film is the debut from director Jordan Ballantine and was written by and stars Patrick Murphy (Love/Hate) with Kenneth Adams as director of photography.
Spare Change? will compete against 11 other shorts for the prestigious LIM ‘Best Irish Short’ award which, if successful, will make it eligible for an Academy Award.
The film was shot on a budget of less than €50 and tells the story of a day in the life of a homeless man. It explores the themes of first impressions and how they are not always correct.
