Windmill Lane Pictures are seeking an experienced Digital Media  / VT  Operator to join their Digital Media and VT department. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of four years experience within the post production industry.

Required Skills:

  • An in-depth knowledge of various non-linear editing systems including Avid, FCP and Premiere Pro as well as familiarity with Photoshop and DVD Studio.
  • Possess a comprehensive knowledge of common file formats. Dispatching digital media across a range of online platforms is an everyday task.
  • Familiarity with file based workflows from initial acquisition to final broadcast and DPP delivery requirements.
  • A basic understanding of cinema deliverables and the creation of DCPs would be a distinct advantage.
  • The ability to coherently advise clients on broadcast and cinema technologies.
  • Pay meticulous attention to detail to ensure the highest standards of quality control while adhering to broadcaster’s detailed specifications
  • Computer literacy and a technical aptitude is essential as the role necessitates a methodical approach to troubleshooting both hardware and software issues.
  • An understanding of XMLs and use of metadata
  • A thorough knowledge of VT broadcast formats
  • Excellent attention to detail

Call For: Production Manager


Boulder Media are looking for an organised and highly motivated Production Manager to oversee a team of 40+ on an exciting and fast paced project.

The ideal candidate will have all the characteristics and skills detailed below and at least 2 – 3yrs experience in a Production Management role.

  • You will be required to deal with the LA pre-production studio ensuring that all episodic shipments are complete and ready for core production
  • Communicate clearly and regularly with the Producers and Directors at Boulder Media on the production status
  • Create and maintain a detailed weekly report for the production of the series and the individual departments
  • Create a Production report for the LA studio to ensure all scheduled plans sync up
  • Help to plan and troubleshoot the pipeline for the production and any delays in delivery
  • Manage overall production schedule including interdepartmental workflow and monitor / oversee department schedules and priorities
  • Plan with the available resources to optimise the efficiency of each department in line with the schedule
  • Ensure the production team understand the goals and deadlines of each assignment and key milestone deliveries
  • Manage the animation and asset delivery to overseas animation vendor/s and in turn their deliveries back.
  • Coordinate the execution of retakes and report on the level called and impact on core production.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills essential.
  • Must be able to work well within a team environment, encouraging and fostering a healthy atmosphere in a pressured environment, setting achievable goals and supporting the team to hit any goals or deadlines that are set out before them.
  • A good working knowledge of the Harmony animation pipeline is not necessary but would be a distinct advantage when applying

Call For: Cast for Short Film


The RTE / Filmbase funded short film project entitled The Wake is currently casting for three male lead actors. The film is currently shortlisted as one of the final 8 projects, with two of the films ultimately being selected for funding.


The film will be shot on location in Co. Monaghan and will shoot in early summer 2015. The film is written and directed by award winning filmmaker Jonathan Hughes.


The Wake, a 12min comedy, follows the story of three young brothers at their grandmother’s wake and the bitter rivalry over who is worthy of saying the Prayers of the Faithful.


The film is currently searching for three male lead actors for the film. Actors should be within the playing-age range of 7-16 years. The parts are as follows:


Greg (9) – LEAD ROLE – Always the centre of attention; will do anything to get in the spotlight, no matter who tries to get in his way


Eric (7) – The youngest brother, innocent, easily upset; the pet of the family


Sean (15) – The sensible one, stays out of the spotlight, keeps himself busy elsewhere (like the kitchen)


Interested applicants should create a short piece to camera video where they tell a little about themselves.

Call For: ‘Line of Duty’ Crew

Line of Duty series 3 will shoot in Northern Ireland from April to July. The production currently seeks talented crew across all departments.

Call for: Cast for Feature


Open casting day is being organised for 27th Jan for the following:

Adult male and female remaining roles, supporting roles, featured extras and extras.

The venue is Dublin city centre in Filmbase, Temple Bar, 10am to 5pm.

For speaking roles please bring a short monologue (2 mins max).  Producers will provide a short script (on the day) for readings.

Please note that it is adults only who are asked to attend the casting day.

These roles are paid.
