High Anxiety at the IFI: A season of classic American conspiracy thrillers in the era of Vietnam and Watergate, that run from 1–26 June.
The Irish Film Institute will pay tribute to the late Donal Gilligan, a highly respected and greatly missed cinematographer, with a screening of ‘Country’, a rural drama written and directed by Kevin Liddy, on 30th May.
This May the IFI is re-releasing three cinematic classics on new digitally restored prints: ‘The African Queen’, ‘Apocalypse Now’ & ‘Taxi Driver’.

This April the IFI is launching a new film discussion club that brings audiences together with critics, filmmakers and programmers to discuss new releases, seasons, and re-releases of classic films from the IFI programme.
The shortlist has been announced for the DARE2BDRINKAWARE.ie competition. Now in its fourth year, the competition challenges students to explore the relationship between Irish culture and drinking through a film or multimedia project.
