David Freyne4

David Freyne is a screenwriter & director from Kildare. Freyne got his start studying production design then working in post-production before stepping into the director’s chair. He made his feature debut with The Cured starring Elliott Page, which debuted in TIFF & went on to win Best Debut Feature at Fantastic Fest. David pivoted to romantic comedy with his hit LGBTQ+ coming-of-age film Dating Amber (2020) with Lola Petticrew and now his recent A24 fantasy rom-com Eternity (2025).
