The new Irish language drama Corp & Anam, written and directed by Darach Mac Con Iomaire, will begin broadcasting from Wednesday 16th February at 9:30 pm on TG4 for four weeks.
Set in contemporary Ireland, Corp & Anam tells the story of TV crime correspondent Cathal Mac Iarnáin who prides himself on pursuing the story behind the story. In four episodes that explore the many ills of contemporary Irish society, Mac Iarnáin pursues stories of health service neglect, internet paedophilia, boy-racer recklessness and police corruption. But he is too busy chasing stories to notice that the world of crime is coming closer to home every day
Starring Diarmuid de Faoite (Padraic) and Maria Doyle Kennedy (The Tudors), the drama was produced by Paddy Hayes for Magamedia. It was shot in Galway last summer over eight weeks and was funded by BSÉ/IFB, BAI and TG4.
