Ireland will be represented by PIO Media and its writer/producer, Jonathan Farrelly, at this year’s Euro-Connection at the  Clermont-Ferrand International Short Film Festival, the biggest international film festival dedicated to short films

The producer, who also wrote the script, will bring the project, Live In Colour, and join producers from all over Europe at the co-production forum.

The forum is designed to foster partnerships between European production companies, funders, broadcasters and emerging filmmakers for short film projects. It will run from February 4th – 9th, including pitching sessions, one-to-one business meetings and facilitated networking for producers and participants.

While the project, Live In Colour , won the Irish heat, it didn’t make the final European shortlist, but the writer/producer was still invited over to be Ireland’s representative and seek funding out of competition.

16 short film projects are chosen each year, with 68 films already completed in the last seven years. A further 32 co-productions have arisen as a direct result of producers networking at the event.

Jonathan Farrelly is a writer/producer known for Poster BoysThe Lost Walk (2012) and Leap of Faith (2017).
