Dublin Feminist Film Festival 2017 Announce Programme

The Dublin Feminist Film Festival takes place from Thursday 16th – Saturday 18th November 2017 and this year will be comprised of films made in the last five years,  foregrounding topics such as: science, the avant-garde, technology and the digital world, visionary a/v, sci-fi, as well as emerging feminist issues and contemporary feminist movements, sci-fi, the occult, modernity, globalization, dystopia, utopia, the future female, coming-of-age, ageing, change, aspirations and ambition.

The programme is:

Thursday 16th November 2017

6.00-7.45pm Trapped + short €10

8.00-9.45pm Advantageous + short €10

Friday 17th November 2017

4-6.05pm The Farthest + short €10

6.20-8pm Wolf and Sheep + short €10

8.15-9.50pm IRISH PREMIERE: Code: Debugging the Gender Gap + short €10

 

Friday Event: ‘Feminist Futures’ talk

6.30-7.30pm Dr. Sarah Arnold: Future Media Needs Feminism – FREE but ticketed (upstairs room)

Saturday 18th November 2017

12-1.30pm IRISH PREMIERE: Credible Likeable Superstar Role Model + short €10

1.45-4pm The Love Witch + short €10

4.15-6pm  Gulabi Gang + short €10

6.15-7.35pm IRISH PREMIERE: Codependent Lesbian Space Alien Seeks Same + short €10

8-9.30pm IRISH PREMIERE: Ovarian Psycos + pre-recorded introduction from the filmmakers €10

Saturday Event:  Making Movies – with Nora Moriarty’ Workshop €7

2-5pm  Workshop + film screening (12pm Credible Likeable Superstar Role Model) €12
