On Sunday October 22, 2017, the 18th Kerry Film Festival came to a close, following another outstanding year of Irish film premieres, screenings and discussions. The annual awards ceremony took place after the Irish Premiere of Lies We Tell in the INEC on Saturday evening.
Lies We Tell
Artistic Director of the Kerry Film Festival Maeve McGrath, informed a full house, “The Kerry Film Festival is a platform for showcasing the best in Feature, Short and Documentary Cinema from at home and abroad and our award winners are at the highest level of these categories”.
The awards are judged by a private industry jury panel that include, Maura Kelly, Gerard Keenan, Nicky Fennell, Fodhla Cronin O’Reilly, Sé Merry Doyle, Clare Stronge and Seamus Duggan.

BEST INTERNATIONAL NARRATIVE – NORO
BEST DOCUMENTARY – BLOOD AND INK
BEST ANIMATION – SECOND TO NONE
BEST STUDENT – RAHA
BEST SCORE – WRONGHEADED
BEST IRISH NARRATIVE – WAVE
BEST KERRY CONNECTION – A CONVERSATION
