On the 16th of December at the Nerve Centre in Derry at 7pm there is a screening of local Derry film Yesterday’s War; tickets cost five pounds with all the profits going to Foyle Hospice.
Yesterday’s War is the new feature film from award winning Derry born writer and director David Harkin. It is David’s sixth feature film shot in the city showcasing a great cast of local actors including Martin Bradley, Marina Maricinekova, Alex Watson, Paula Roberts, Rebecca Denby and Paddy McGlinchey.
Yesterday’s War is set in an alternative future, where the Troubles’ have continued. The President of Ireland has been kidnapped by a group of Fascists, to rescue the President a secret plan is set in motion.
The film was shot last summer in and around Derry.
