The Young Offenders

The new Irish comedy The Young Offenders, which will have its world premiere at the Galway Film Fleadh this July, will be released in cinemas nationwide this coming September.

Inspired by Ireland’s biggest cocaine seizure of €440 million off the coast of Cork in 2007, The Young Offenders directed by first-time feature director Peter Foott, follows two Cork inner-city teenagers as they embark on a 160km road trip on stolen bikes in the hopes of finding some unrecovered bales.

The film features Chris Walley and Alex Murphy and co-stars the stand-up comedian PJ Gallagher and Hilary Rose.

The film was shot around Cork city and along the Wild Atlantic Way last summer.
The Galway Film Fleadh takes place 5th – 10th July.
