Irish Poster Correct

An Ceann Deireanach (The Last One) is currently in production.  Written, produced and directed by Eamonn Tutty and Alan Dunne of Reckoner Productions, the film is set against the back drop of the Irish Famine (1847).

A violent revolt leaves the four protagonists Tadhg, Seamus, Jim and Thomas fleeing the safety of their village in hopes of survival. Entering the desolate woods of Ireland the battle against the elements and their own inner demons commences.  As starvation slowly creeps in the line between reality and fantasy begin to blur.

The film explores the dark history of the Irish famine and will also be recorded in Irish to capture the realism of the time period. It encapsulates themes that are still  relevant in our society today: mental health, poverty and starvation.
