Life Has Surface Noise, the third instalment of the series exploring music and memory, will take place Monday 14th September at the Abbey Theatre on the Peacock Stage as part of the the Tiger Dublin Fringe. This time, the theme is space, and how certain records can shape and provide a soundtrack to our lives in a certain city, environment or place – and why. Joining academic and arts journalist Siobhán Kane are the psychogeographer and writer Karl Whitney (Hidden City: Adventures and Explorations in Dublin); broadcasters, DJs and record collectors Niall Byrne (Nialler9), Stevie Grainger and Peter Toomey, designer Annie Atkins and some surprise guests. The evening will be followed by a Young Hearts DJ set in the Peacock bar.
As with all Young Hearts Run Free events, these events will be raising much needed funds for the Simon Community.
