The Bridge Programme 2015 – Call For ApplicantsApplications are open for The Bridge Programme 2015, an initiative that seeks to ‘Bridge’ the skills gap evident in the Games, Animation and VFX sectors between what education provides and what the corresponding industry demands. The Bridge is an intensive 8 week programme that aims to create “Industry Ready” participants who have experience of the culture of business and the expectation of the delivery of outputs.The Bridge Programme 2015:

It is proposed that between 25-30 participants will be selected for the 2015 programme. Participants must be either recent graduates from Animation, Games and VFX related courses or older graduates who are not working at the moment and who are trying to break into the industry.

Participants will be placed in participating studios for the 8 weeks and will receive both on-the-job training and additional training through Animation Skillnet and Screen Training Ireland.

The programme will take place over 8 weeks between June and August and will be supervised by Richard Glynn, CEO and Producer at Studio POWWOW in conjunction with Animation Skillnet, Screen Training Ireland, the GEC & Dublin BIC.

Applications:

Applications from recent graduates or unemployed graduates from animation, games and VFX related courses who wish to participate in ‘The Bridge’ 2015 should be sent to animationskillnet@dublinbic.ie by Friday 29th May. Applications must include a CV and a link to an online showreel and/or portfolio.

Selected applicants will be called for interview in June.
