Tomm Moore’s Song of the Sea led the way for Irish nominations for an Oscar, announced among the nominees selected for best animated feature. This follows on from Moore’s previous nomination 2010 for The Secret of Kells.
The Northern Irish film Boogaloo and Graham received a nomination for best live-action short.
Also of Irish interest is the nomination for best original song ‘Lost Stars’, sung by Keira Knightley which features in Irish director John Carney’s film Begin Again.

The Oscar ceremony takes place in Hollywood’s Dolby Theatre on 22nd February.
