Irish Success at British Independent Film Awards


It was a good night for Irish film at the Moët British Independent Film Awards, which took place on 7th December 2014 in Central London.

Brendan Gleeson won the best actor award for his role as Fr James Lavelle in Calvary, while fellow actor Andrew Scott won the best supporting actor award for his work in Pride.

Lenny Abrahamson’s Frank claimed 2 prizes on the night with Jon Ronson and Peter Straughan winning best screenplay and Irish composer Stephen Rennicks awarded Best Technical Achievementfor his musical contribution.
