Just when you thought it was safe to go back to camp, the Jameson Cult Film Club returned to Dublin for a double screening of the 1981 horror classic Friday The 13th Part II this week (Wednesday 22nd and Thursday 23rd October)
Continuing on from previous successful Jameson Cult Film Club screenings of Fight Club, Predator, Jaws, and Intermission, organisers were challenged with transporting the audience right back to the errie surroundings of Packanack Lodge on the shores of Crystal Lake. Lucky ticket holders to this free event were not left disappointed.
Industries Hall on the grounds of the iconic RDS was completely transformed into a series of sets from the film. Guests entered the venue through the derelict Crystal Lake Campsite before arriving at Jason’s cabin in the woods; lookalike actors in character interacted with the crowd until guests were called to their seats. Throughout the screening, live theatre, props and staging created an electric atmosphere in the venue including Crazy Ralph terrifying the audience with the cinema house rules.
Enjoying the Jameson Cult Film Club Experience were Leinster rugby players Mike McCarthy, Dominic Ryan and Jimmy Gopperth, model Carl Shaaban, actors David Coffey and Holly White and illusionist Shane Gillen.

Following the screening, the party will continue in true Jameson style with DJ Aidan Kelly taking to the decks while guests enjoyed ‘New Jersey’ Burgers and Jameson, Ginger and Lime long drinks.
