A documentary film that tells the extraordinary story of two sets of road racing Dunlop brothers will premiere on the opening night of the 14th March Belfast Film Festival, sponsored by O2 International Sim.

Road, produced by DoubleBand Films and narrated by actor Liam Neeson, is a dramatic recounting of two generations of the one family united by both loss and success.

The world premiere, which takes place at the Moviehouse, Dublin Road, marks curtain-up on this year’s Belfast Film Festival, which runs over 10 days from March 27 until April 5.

A diverse programme of more than 125 films and events brings stories from 38 countries around the world at 16 venues across the city. Screenings will be shown both inside and outside cinemas, with local churches and schools hosting special events.

Other Festival highlights include a live score to Dawn of the Dead by rock legends Goblin; a chance for Hitchcock fans to see Dial M for Murder as it was originally intended, in 3D; a celebration of the music of Patrick Doyle longtime collaborator of Kenneth Branaghs; Mark Cousins and David Holmes present a ‘work in progress’ event about the making of their upcoming film ‘I Am Belfast’.
