Oonagh Kearney

Oonagh Kearney, a filmmaker from Cork and currently based in London, has been nominated by IndieCork as the Irish representative in the Euro-Connection Forum taking place at Clermont-Ferrand International Short Film Festival in February.  IndieCork is the ‘Irish Desk’ for this European co-production forum, where one filmmaker from each of the EU countries is invited to pitch for funding and seek European partners for their short film projects.

Oonagh will be pitching on February 4th, her new project Foul Play, a short dance film, which follows her previous creative dance film The Wake.

Mick Hannigan of IndieCork said: “Clermont-Ferrand is the Cannes of short film, and Euro-Connection is a wonderful opportunity for an emerging talent to realize the possibility of making their next film. We believe that Oonagh Kearney is a rising star, making imaginative and engaging films. We admire her work greatly and wish Oonagh every success at Euro-Connection. I look forward to attending the pitching session and helping to represent Oonagh’s project at every level”.
