‘Cuckoo’ Wins Awards

Cuckoo, a 28-minute Irish webseries, has recently won two awards. It was voted Best Drama at Atlanta, GA webfest-ATL webfest and received a Bronze award in the Music & Entertainment section of the LOVIE Awards (European Internet awards).

It has been a busy few months for Cuckoo, with a WEBBY nomination and screenings in Geneva, Marseille, Rome and Melbourne. Cuckoo is also on the active panel picker selection for SXSW.

Aer Lingus will be screening Cuckoo (directed by Danann Breathnach) alongside Sylvia (directed by Seamus Moran) both produced by Marie Caffrey on all Aer Lingus long-haul flights during December 2013 and January 2014 as part of the Gathering.

Marie Caffrey is also selected to participate in the Irish Film Board Catalyst scheme which offers emerging filmmakers the chance to produce a low-budget feature film through its funding and mentorship scheme.
