Wildcard Distribution today confirmed that feature film Life’s A Breeze will have it’s World Premiere at the Galway Film Fleadh this summer and has been scheduled for an Irish cinema release on the 19th July.  Irish audiences will be the first in the world to see the new film from Lance Daly, who previously directed the Irish and international hit KissesLife’s A Breeze showcases a host of Irish acting talent including Pat Shortt and Fionnula Flanagan, who recently starred together in The Guard.  They are joined in the film by Eva Birthistle, Gerry McCann, Philip Judge, Lesley Conroy, Peter Coonan, Brian Gleeson, Paul Ronan, and a sparkling performance from newcomer Kelly Thornton. The film also features cameos from Ryan Tubridy and Joe Duffy.

 

A teaser poster for the film has also been released, featuring the tagline “THIS COUNTRY IS BOLLOX€D”.

 

Life’s A Breeze is a feel-good “recession comedy” about a family struggling to stay afloat and stay together through hard times in Ireland.  Unemployed slacker Colm (Pat Shortt), his aging mother Nan (Fionnula Flanagan) and his niece Emma (Kelly Thornton) must overcome their many differences to lead their family in a race against time to find a lost fortune.  Who said Life’s A Breeze?

 

Lance Daly’s previous film Kisses screened at numerous A-list festivals including Toronto, Telluride, and London, and was picked up for international distribution by Focus Features (Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Lost In Translation, The Place Beyond The Pines).
