ID Projects 2013 Identifying your community

The Galway Film Centre, in association with the Arts Council, Galway City Council and Galway County Council, wish to remind you that the closing date for ID Projects application is fast approaching.

ID Films gives community groups the opportunity to tell their own stories through digital documentary.

A professional documentary maker will facilitate the entire process and work to suit the group’s availability and individual needs. The audio-visual medium gives people immediate access to a multitude of theoretical, technical and aesthetic skills and is a most powerful tool in enabling communities to explore, develop, define and express their individual and collective artistic creativity.

Each group is trained and guided through the entire production process. It is, though challenging, a wonderful and rewarding experience for everyone involved. The skills of documentary making are then left with the community after the Galway Film Centre have completed their contract.

We are offering you a unique opportunity to tell your own story, your own way, through a process that is good fun and will cost your group nothing.
