Food Right Now aims to increase public awareness of global hunger and poverty. The competition is for people between the ages of 12 and 26 to get on board. All you have to do is enter the video competition on hunger.

Enter the Food Right Now video competition. You need to upload a three-minute video on the theme “What’s hunger?” to YouTube or Vimeo. The video must address the issues of hunger, food waste and the right to food. You must be aged between 12 and 26 and living in the Republic of Ireland to apply. The closing date is 21 May 2013. There are three age categories: 12-15, 16-19 and 20-26.
Competition prize

The top two winners in each category will travel to the Prague One World Film Festival in March 2014. The winners of each category will travel to one of Concern Worldwide’s programmes in Africa or Asia in 2014.
The task

To enter the competition, all you have to do is create a short video aimed at your own age group that does one of the following:

Explores the issues of hunger and food in the world
Explores why hunger is still happening in the world today
Looks at the links between over-consumption and waste; under-consumption and need
Looks at the right of every human being to food
Helps people to understand why hunger is wrong and unacceptable
