To whom it may concern,
I would be very interested in directing a project as a part of this competition. I have acted in many shorts, 3 features and several stage productions so I understand the role of an actor first hand. I comprehend how an actor works on a set and can aid in relating to them and bringing out a good performance. I’m currently in my third year of Film Studies in college and I have directed two shorts as part of the programme. I am currently working on a short I’ve written myself. One of my films has been screened in Filmbase on two occassions and has been well received by Conor Murphy, a key figure in Filmbase. I am always looking for more opportunities to be involved with filmmaking and directing is a great passion of mine. I would love to hear back about this opportunity, but above all I thank you for taking the time to read this.
