Cartoon Movie is a co-production forum for European animated feature films where producers have the opportunity to pitch their animation project in order to speed up financing, find cross-border partners and interest international distributors and sales agents.

Tidal’s NIKO 2: LITTLE BROTHER, BIG TROUBLE, A Man & Ink’s JANSSON ON THE TRAIN and Prickly Pear Production and Giant Creative’s 3D animated feature PAPERBOY are three of 55 projects that have been selected for the Forum.

All three projects received funded from Bord Scannán na hÉireann/the Irish Film Board (IFB) with PAPERBOY being developed from the successful short Paperman which was funded through the IFB’s Framework scheme.

The two day forum will take place in Lyon, France. Over 700 participants from 35 countries and 200 buyers including 100 distributors attend annually.

Since the first Cartoon Movie in 1999, over 185 films have raised finance of €1.3 billion at the forum.
