SPLINTER BAGS GRAMMY NOMINATION FOR SHAKIRA FILM
Splinter Films nominated for Latin Grammy Award
Nick Wickham (Director) and Ireland’s Emer Patten (Producer) of Splinter Films, have been nominated for a Grammy at this year’s Latin Grammy Awards. The nomination in the Best Long Form Video category is for “Shakira: En Vivo Desde Paris (Live From Paris)” and the winners will be announced this Thursday
November 15th, 2012, in Las Vegas. Mr Wickham and Ms Patten will both attend the prestigious event.
Dublin-born DCU graduate, Emer Patten said: “For us to be nominated for a Latin Grammy is a huge honour and we are delighted that our work has been recognised in this way. The Grammys are the pinnacle of our industry peer awards so we are delighted and we’re particularly pleased that our work with Shakira has been singled out.”
The film is the Director and Producer team’s most recent of several collaborations with Sony Music and the Columbian megastar and follows past, platinum selling “Shakira: Oral Fixation Tour” (2006).
Established in 1997, London-based production company Splinter Films have spent the last 15 years specializing in producing live concert films and live events with clients that include Madonna, Metallica, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Foo Fighters, Beyoncé and many more.
