Nick Wickham (Director) and Ireland’s Emer Patten (Producer) of Splinter Films, have been nominated for a Grammy at this year’s Latin Grammy Awards.  The nomination in the Best Long Form Video category is for “Shakira: En Vivo Desde Paris (Live From Paris)” and the winners will be announced this Thursday November 15th, 2012, in Las Vegas.  Mr Wickham and Ms Patten will both attend the prestigious event.
Dublin-born DCU graduate, Emer Patten said: “For us to be nominated for a Latin Grammy is a huge honour and we are delighted that our work has been recognised in this way. The Grammys are the pinnacle of our industry peer awards so we are delighted and we’re particularly pleased that our work with Shakira has been singled out.”
The film is the Director and Producer team’s most recent of several collaborations with Sony Music and the Columbian megastar and follows past, platinum selling “Shakira: Oral Fixation Tour” (2006).
