‘The Walk Home’ Wins at Galway

The Walk Home, a 5-minute short film, created by award-winning independent filmmaker Dave Thorpe (Impetuous, Split Thread) won Best Film at the third annual Little Cinema Halloween Special short film screenings in Galway last Tuesday, 30th October.

Little Cinema is a monthly short film screening held in Kelly’s Bar, Galway that has been running since 2010 and showcases films of all genres made by talented local filmmakers of all levels from beginners to professionals. Little Cinema has also recently appeared at the Volvo Ocean Race and Electric Picnic, offering filmmakers a chance to get their films shown to a wider audience. The Walk Home is a short horror film that follows Samantha, a girl who encounters a strange presence while walking home late one night. As unusual disturbances begin to happen around Samantha’s house, she soon discovers the truth behind her mysterious stalker.
