ShortSpace at Filmbase: Focus on Cinematography
Focus on Cinematography
7pm, Thursday, 1st November 2012
After a break, ShortSpace is back and this time is looking at Cinematography! ShortSpace will be joined by two prolific cinematographers, Kate McCullough and Patrick Jordan, who between them have numerous cinematography credits for both short and long form work.
As usual, attendees on the night will be treated to a selection of short films screened from 7pm. This will be followed directly after with a discussion between the invited filmmakers and audience about the topic of the night. We’re delighted that Kate and Paddy can join us for the evening to discuss their work. ShortSpace will be looking at the issues that affect choices made by the cinematographer on a short film shoot including budgets, aesthetic choices, technical issues as well as talking about the relationship between the cinematographer and other crew members, most importantly the director, so this evening should be of interest to those interested in all aspects of filmmaking.
Check out the line-up below and make sure to get in touch with Filmbase reception to reserve your place!
