There are two new additions to the SXSW line-up this year. Firstly, the SXSW Film’s Startup Alley offers a place to discover the products and services set to revolutionize the entertainment industry through panels, networking opportunities with entrepreneurs and expert investors and demos from new film and television startups. http://sxsw.com/film/startup-alley
Secondly, the Film Experience Hackathon is a weekend-long event whereby hackers, filmmakers and visual artists will join forces to create new and innovative ideas in how technology can enhance the world of film. The goal is to build hacks that bring together technology, multimedia, and data to enrich the end-to-end movie experience. http://hackingfilm.com/
SXSW is now accepting both narrative and documentary feature-length films over 40 minutes in length for inclusion in the festival as well as shorts, music videos and title sequences.
