| October 17, 2012 | Comments (0)

Monaghan native 25-year-old Alan Farrell one of the youngest Directors producers, in the country was on location in Clones Monaghan a couple of weeks ago filming his latest film about local Artist Charles Philippe. This unique story tells the story of French artist Charles who now lives on the out skirts of Clones.  Charles who was an architect in France where he grew up followed his dream, to voice his thoughts about politics, and within his paintings. Charles is a communist and in the film, we see how he lives and spends his day. Known to many to be original and knowing a unique story Farrell is no Stanger in the entertainment industry after producing his first broadcast film in Casltblayney when he was only 19 which was screened on RTE then going on to develop his own company and winning awards both here and abroad co producing with as Farrell says  one of the best up coming directors the country has seen Paddy Slattery 2 years ago… Speaking with Farrell he said he was delighted to be back in Clones. It’s a stunning town and area to film in. Its where I acted in my first film with director Darren Thornton, and from that I just fell in love with it all even do I only work behind the lens now. Charles is a character and may not see the world like others which I think within the film, will bring across it’s the little things in life that make some people happy and with the world moving so fast with technologies, I hope this film sheds a bit of light on that.I am lucky after all the years working some of the business and had a fantastic team on this low budget short .
