‘Two Hearts’ up for European Film Award

Darren Thornton’s short film Two Hearts is among the list of this year’s nominations in the short film category of the European Film Awards announced at the International Short Film Festival in Drama (Greece). The film was nominated after having won the European Film Academy Award at last year’s Corona Cork Film Festival. The short film initiative is organised by the European Film Academy in co-operation with a series of film festivals throughout Europe. At each of these festivals, an independent jury presents one of the European short films in competition with a nomination in the short film category of the European Film Awards. The nominees will be presented to the over 2,700 members of the European Film Academy and it is they who will elect the overall winner: the European Film Academy Short Film 2012 which will be presented at the 25th European Film Awards Ceremony on 1 December in Malta.
