The Arts Council of Northern Ireland has established an EU Funding for the Arts Forum, which aims to support arts and cultural organisations interested in developing EU partnerships, projects and funding applications.
The forum will provide peer-to-peer support, networking and opportunities for collaboration.
This is the second meeting of the forum. New members are most welcome to attend.
The agenda will be finalised and added as a note by Friday 5th October.
This is a pertinent time to consider how international working can support and expand the work of your organisation. The European Commission’s next generation of programmes are being finalised with the new ‘Creative Europe’ (2014-2020) estimated to receive €1.8billion for the culture and media sectors and ‘Erasmus for All’ (2014-2020) estimated to have a total budget of €19 billion for education, training, youth and sport.
Whilst the new programmes will not commence until 2014, many opportunities still exist under the current (2007-2013) EU programmes for Culture, Lifelong Learning and Youth in Action and many others.
Given the level of experience and success obtained by a number of NI’s arts organisations under current EU programmes , this is an excellent time to learn from them and experience the benefits of international working for your organisation.
