€734,533 in MEDIA Funding for Irish Film & TV

Results have recently been announced for a number of MEDIA Schemes which has resulted in awards totaling €734,533 for Irish Companies.

Development
Following the April 2012 Development Deadline €399,533 has been awarded to 5 Irish Production companies:

€119,500 was awarded to 3 Irish companies for the Development of single projects:

Magamedia for Olagón,
Ripple World Pictures 
for The Valentine Gang
Savage Productions/SP Films 
for Pilgrimage.

€280,033 was awarded in Slate Funding (Development of multiple projects) to 2 Irish companies Jam Media and Soho Moon Productions.

Training
FÁS/Screen Training Ireland have been awarded €300,000 in MEDIA Training support for two International Training Projects – Screen Leaders EU and VFX – Script to Screen

Cinema Distribution – The Selective Scheme
Access Cinema received €5,000 to assist with the distribution in Ireland of the Austrian film Kuma.

Festival Funding
The Corona Cork Film Festival was awarded €30,000 for this year’s festival which takes place in November.

MEDIA is the European Union’s support programme for the Film, Television and New Media industries.
