Dublin based beActive International Producer Triona Campbell nominated for Female Entrepreneur of the Year Award 2012

The Women Mean Business Conference and Awards, designed to recognise the outstanding achievements of Ireland’s leading businesswomen, has listed Triona Campbell, Producer and Company Director at beActive International, as one of the candidates for the Enterprise Ireland WMB Female Entrepreneur of the Year Award 2012.
Triona Campbell is a founder and director of beActive International, a Digital Studio / transmedia company based in Dublin.
Triona is best known in Ireland as the series producer of AISLING’S DIARY for RTE YPP (Best One-Off, Special or TV Movie Category at the KidScreen Awards, NY 2010 and 2011) and SOFIA’S DIARY for Sony Pictures and Television International London. In addition she recently produced the Setanta Sports / BAI factual series’ YES I CAN (with Mark Pollock) and THE CLUB and was a producer on the International Emmy nominated transmedia series FINAL PUNISHMENT shot in Brazil.
Currently she is in pre production in Dublin for a new sci fi series COLLIDER (written by Nuno Bernardo, director Jason Butler) and has a premier later this month in the UK of Indie feature film THE KNOT starring Noel Clark and Mena Suvari (releasing with Universal in UK cinemas), which she co-produced.
This shortlist has been collated among the unprecedented number of nominations received for each category by WMB, whose primary aim is to connect women and recognise their contribution to the Irish development in different fields: business, economy, technology and society as a whole.
The awards will be presented at the Women Mean Business Conference & Awards 2012 at the Shelbourne Hotel, Dublin on October 1st 2012.
