‘Impetuous’ wins Best Horror at the Naas Short Film Festival

Impetuous, a short, independent horror film written, directed and produced by Dave Thorpe won Best Horror at the Naas Short Film Festival last weekend the 19th August. The film stars Aislinn Ní Uallacháin, James Martinez and Shane Whoriskey.

 

Impetuous tells the story of Kerrie; On her way to a party with some friends, Kerrie is in a sudden car accident and awakes tied up in an abandoned shed, unable to move. However, she soon discovers that she is not alone.

 

The film was independently funded by Dave himself, who grew up in Naas and studied Video and Film in Dundalk IT and Screenwriting at NUI Galway.

 

Dave previously directed the interactive film Split Thread (now accessible on YouTube) which won the award for interactivity at the Celtic Media Festival 2011.
